Race Summary & Analysis (2026)

Lando Norris secured a commanding victory for McLaren at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, taking the chequered flag with a substantial 11.536-second advantage. Mercedes executed a strong race to lock out the remaining podium positions, achieving a double podium finish. Andrea Kimi Antonelli claimed an impressive second place, finishing just over four seconds ahead of his teammate George Russell, who completed the top three with a final gap of 15.906 seconds to the race winner.

Behind the podium finishers, a tight intra-team battle saw Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton secure fourth place, narrowly ahead of teammate Charles Leclerc in fifth, with the pair separated by only 0.503 seconds. Oscar Piastri consolidated a strong points haul for McLaren in sixth position. Liam Lawson was the sole points-scorer for Red Bull, finishing a distant seventh. The final championship points were awarded to drivers a lap down on the leader: Nico Hülkenberg brought his Audi home in eighth, followed by Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso in ninth, while Pierre Gasly claimed the final point for Alpine F1 Team in tenth.

The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix featured three official retirements from the race. Alexander Albon of Williams, Valtteri Bottas for the Cadillac F1 Team, and Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll all failed to see the chequered flag and were recorded as DNF in the final classification. Several other drivers finished multiple laps down, with Franco Colapinto, Sergio Pérez, and Carlos Sainz all classified two laps behind the leader at the conclusion of the event.
