Red Bull GmbH has rejected a reported three-billion-dollar offer for its second Formula 1 team, Visa Cash App RB (VCARB). The substantial bid was declined earlier in July 2026, reaffirming Red Bull’s commitment to its two-team structure in the sport.

The decision underscores the strategic importance of the Faenza-based squad, which serves as a crucial platform for driver development within the Red Bull motorsport empire. VCARB has historically nurtured talents who have progressed to Red Bull Racing.

Current VCARB drivers Liam Lawson and rookie Arvid Lindblad are products of this system, with Isack Hadjar having been promoted to Red Bull Racing for the 2026 season.

Beyond driver progression, the team provides significant technical synergies with Red Bull Racing. While regulations mandate independent car design, VCARB shares permitted components, fostering closer collaboration and accelerating development for both entities.

Red Bull management has consistently emphasized the value of this dual-team model. Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing, recently highlighted the junior programme as a ‘cornerstone’ of Red Bull’s success.

Further solidifying this commitment, Red Bull announced the appointment of Gwen Lagrue as the new director of its Junior Programme, effective from 2027. Lagrue, formerly with Mercedes, will oversee the identification and development of future F1 talent.

This move reinforces Red Bull’s long-term vision for its driver pipeline and its investment in nurturing the next generation of Formula 1 competitors. The reported three-billion-dollar offer did not alter this strategic direction.
