Former Williams Formula 1 driver Logan Sargeant has announced his engagement to long-time partner Riley Whittall. The announcement was made via a joint Instagram post on July 31, 2026. The proposal took place at the Montage Laguna Beach resort in California.

Sargeant, 25, and Whittall shared a series of photographs from the event. The social media post was captioned, ‘Forever with my best friend!!!!’

The proposal featured an elaborate outdoor setting. This included a significant arrangement of white flowers, creating an altar-like frame. Following the proposal, the couple participated in a photoshoot on the beach.

The news prompted congratulatory messages from within the motorsport community. F1 drivers Oscar Piastri and Alex Albon were among those who extended their well-wishes to the couple.

Sargeant and Whittall have maintained a largely private relationship. Hints of their pairing began to emerge during Sargeant’s rookie F1 season with Williams in 2023. By 2024 and 2025, Whittall was frequently seen accompanying Sargeant to races and other engagements.

Riley Whittall is professionally engaged as a development associate. She works for Unicorp National Developments, based in Orlando, Florida.

Sargeant made his Formula 1 debut with Williams in 2023. He was subsequently replaced by Franco Colapinto midway through the 2024 season. His F1 career included 36 Grand Prix entries, securing a single point at the 2023 United States Grand Prix in Austin.

After his departure from Formula 1, Sargeant transitioned to endurance racing. He competed in the final two rounds of the IMSA SportsCar Championship in late 2025. For 2026, Sargeant is set to return to IMSA.
