Liam Lawson, a Racing Bulls F1 driver, is currently participating in the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The annual motorsport event commenced on Thursday, July 9, and is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Lawson’s appearance at Goodwood follows a strong start to his 2026 Formula 1 season with Racing Bulls. The team has established itself as the fifth-fastest in the championship over recent races.

During his time at the festival, Lawson has driven an iconic Red Bull car up the renowned Goodwood hillclimb. This demonstration run is a highlight of the event’s dynamic displays.

Other F1 personnel present at Goodwood include Red Bull drivers Isack Hadjar and Yuki Tsunoda. Racing Bulls teammate Arvid Lindblad is also in attendance, alongside reserve driver Ayumu Iwasa.

The festival features a wide array of F1 machinery. Notably, the Adrian Newey-designed Red Bull RB17 hypercar is making its dynamic debut on the hill, with Newey himself taking the wheel.

McLaren’s Lando Norris, the 2025 World Champion, is also participating, driving the MCL60. Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli made his debut appearance on Thursday.

Lawson has scored points in seven of the nine Grands Prix and two of the four Sprints this season. His sixth-placed finish at the British Grand Prix stands as his joint-best result.

This performance marks a significant turnaround for Lawson, who now holds 39 points for the year. He has surpassed his total from the entire 2025 season.

Lawson’s 2026 season also saw him gain a new race engineer, Alexandre Iliopoulos. This change was part of the team’s preparations ahead of the major rules overhaul.
