Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar has been ruled out of the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix due to a wrist injury. The incident occurred earlier this week, necessitating an immediate change to the driver lineup for the Zandvoort event.

Liam Lawson will step into Hadjar’s seat at Red Bull for the weekend. Concurrently, Yuki Tsunoda, a long-standing Red Bull junior, will return to the grid for Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.

Hadjar’s injury is understood to be a fracture in his left wrist, sustained during a cycling accident. Recovery time for the Red Bull driver is estimated at several weeks.

Lawson previously raced for AlphaTauri in 2023, making his return to a Red Bull-affiliated seat. Tsunoda’s appearance for VCARB marks his first competitive outing in the 2026 machinery, having focused primarily on simulator work this season.

In other driver market news, Carlos Sainz has signed a new multi-year contract with Williams. This agreement will see Sainz join the team from the 2027 Formula 1 season onwards.

Sainz’s decision concludes speculation regarding his future, particularly links to Audi’s entry into the sport. Audi had confirmed their 2026 driver lineup earlier this year, leading Sainz to secure his long-term future with Williams.

The International Court of Appeal is set to hear the case of Red Bull and McLaren challenging the results of the Monaco Grand Prix. The hearing will take place in Paris on August 28, 2026.

This counter-appeal follows Alpine’s successful challenge to Pierre Gasly’s penalty, which had initially dropped him from a podium position. Red Bull and McLaren are seeking clarification on the stewards’ decision.
