Isack Hadjar, an Oracle Red Bull Racing driver, has completed the dynamic debut of the Red Bull RB17 hypercar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The event, a prominent fixture in the motorsport calendar, is taking place from July 9 to July 12, 2026, at the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex.
Hadjar was promoted to the senior Red Bull team for the current 2026 Formula 1 season, partnering with Max Verstappen. His progression follows a strong 2025 season with Racing Bulls, where he secured a maiden podium at the Dutch Grand Prix.
The RB17 is a track-only hybrid hypercar, a project spearheaded by Adrian Newey and developed by Red Bull Advanced Technologies. It was initially unveiled as a non-working full-scale model at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2024.
Powering the RB17 is a 4.5-litre naturally aspirated Cosworth V10 engine, which alone generates 1,000 horsepower. This is complemented by a 200 horsepower electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 1,200 horsepower.
The engine is engineered to rev to an impressive 15,000 rpm. The hypercar weighs under 900 kg and is constructed entirely from carbon composite materials. It is designed to deliver F1-equivalent lap times and achieve top speeds exceeding 350 kph (217 mph).
Red Bull Advanced Technologies plans a limited production run of 50 units for the RB17, with each vehicle priced at approximately £5 million. Production for these exclusive hypercars is scheduled to commence this year.
In addition to Hadjar, other notable drivers piloting the RB17 at Goodwood include Adrian Newey, the car’s visionary designer, Red Bull Test and Reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda, and Red Bull Racing Academy Programme driver Alisha Palmowski.

Adrian Newey also commented on the RB17’s dynamic debut, describing it as an ‘incredibly special moment’ after a long planning and gestation period. The car, currently a pre-production model, had its first run only two weeks prior to the festival.
