Red Bull driver Max Verstappen’s daughter, Lily, received a unique gift from a young fan during the Belgian Grand Prix weekend at Spa-Francorchamps. The present, a sound book, was given to Verstappen by a child estimated to be between seven and eight years old.
Verstappen confirmed that his one-year-old daughter, Lily, found the gift engaging. He noted that she enjoyed pressing the buttons to activate various sounds and looking at the accompanying pictures.
The four-time world champion discussed the gesture during an appearance on the ‘P1 with Matt and Tommy’ podcast. He expressed his appreciation for the thoughtfulness behind the gift, acknowledging that the fan’s parents may have assisted in its selection.
Lily Verstappen was born on April 25, 2025, making her one year old at the time of the gift. Verstappen shares Lily with his partner, Kelly Piquet.
Piquet also has an older daughter, Penelope, born on July 27, 2019, from a previous relationship with former Formula 1 driver Daniil Kvyat. Penelope is currently seven years old.
Verstappen has frequently spoken about how fatherhood has provided him with a new sense of balance and perspective away from the demands of Formula 1. He often shares moments with his family, including both daughters, on social media.
The 2026 Belgian Grand Prix, where the gift was presented, took place from July 17 to 19.
Looking ahead, the Formula 1 calendar continues with the Bahrain Grand Prix, scheduled for October 2-4, 2026. This event will notably be held in Selangor, Malaysia, as part of the revised 2026 schedule.
