Jack Wolff, the nine-year-old son of Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff and F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff, has secured his first karting championship. He clinched the 2026 IAME Series Italy Racing Formula title in the X30 U10 category.
The championship was decided at the sixth and final round, held on September 13, 2026, at the Leopard Circuit Viterbo in Italy. Wolff secured the title by winning this decisive final race.
Representing KR Motorsport, Wolff entered the season finale as the standings leader. His victory at Viterbo ensured he finished the 2026 season atop the podium and secured his first career championship.
‘It was good. We had a lot of wins and some bad races but at the end we fought well and we won the championship, so I’m really happy,’ Wolff stated.
The young Austrian-Swiss driver had previously achieved his first IAME Series Italy victory earlier this season in July. That win occurred at the Cremona Circuit.
He followed this with another victory in August at Round 5 of the series, held at South Garda Karting. His parents were present for this win, having missed his initial triumph in July due to the coinciding British Grand Prix.
Wolff expressed surprise at his consistent performance throughout the season. He noted the competitive nature of the X30 U10 field, highlighting the presence of many skilled drivers.
‘From the season I did not know I would win nearly every single round so I was really surprised that I was up there,’ he admitted. ‘It’s really competitive. There’s a lot of good drivers fighting in the championship and we came here on the first step.’
After securing the title, Wolff extended his gratitude to those who support his burgeoning racing career. He thanked his team, his mother, his father, and his entire family.
The IAME Series Italy Racing Formula concluded its 2026 championship with the Viterbo event. The series will hold its Final Games on November 7-8 at South Garda Karting in Lonato, where the 2026 champions will be celebrated.
