Esteban Ocon has been summoned to the FIA stewards at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for an alleged breach of Formula 1 regulations. The Haas driver is required to report to the stewards on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 12:00 local time.

The summons relates to Ocon’s late attendance at the official FIA driver press conference held on Thursday, July 16, ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix weekend.

The alleged infraction falls under Article B10.1.1.a of the FIA F1 Regulations, which governs mandatory media and promotional activities.

Ocon was scheduled to appear alongside Max Verstappen and Alex Albon during the session. He eventually joined the press conference after both Verstappen and Albon had concluded their media duties.

This type of procedural infringement has precedent within the paddock. Earlier this season, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris faced similar allegations in Monaco.

On those occasions, both drivers received a €5,000 fine, which was suspended for 12 months pending no further similar offences.

The summons adds to a challenging period for Ocon, who has secured three of Haas’s 21 points this season. Speculation continues regarding his future with the team.

Haas is currently pursuing improved performance and has introduced new components for the Belgian Grand Prix weekend. Ocon noted the team is focused on finding more pace.

The Belgian Grand Prix holds personal significance for Ocon, marking the 10-year anniversary of his Formula 1 debut at Spa-Francorchamps in 2016.

As of Friday, July 17, the stewards’ decision regarding Ocon’s late arrival remains pending. The outcome will be communicated following their review.
