Speculation regarding Charles Leclerc’s private life has intensified following a social media comment from Carmen Mundt, George Russell’s fiancée. The remark has fueled ongoing fan theories about potential family expansion for the Ferrari driver.
Mundt posted ‘Best looking mama’ on an Instagram series of holiday photographs shared by Alexandra Leclerc, Charles Leclerc’s wife. This comment has been widely interpreted as a hint towards a pregnancy.
Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux were married on February 28, 2026, in a private civil ceremony held in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The couple has not made any official announcements regarding a potential child.
Prior to Mundt’s comment, fans had already been speculating about a possible pregnancy. This was partly due to Alexandra Leclerc’s social media posts, which some observers noted showed a more prominent stomach.
Further fan speculation arose from a sponsored Instagram post by Charles Leclerc. He used the song ‘Blue’ by the artist NewDad, which some followers interpreted as a subtle indication of impending news.
Carmen Mundt’s comment follows her own recent personal news. George Russell announced his engagement to Mundt on August 9, 2026, confirming he proposed during the Formula 1 summer break.
Both Leclerc and Russell are scheduled to compete in the Dutch Grand Prix this upcoming weekend, which marks the end of the Formula 1 summer break. The race is set to take place at Circuit Zandvoort.
The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix will be the final event at Circuit Zandvoort for the foreseeable future. The circuit’s contract with Formula 1 expires after the current season and will not be renewed.
In the 2026 Drivers’ World Championship standings, Charles Leclerc, driving for Ferrari, is currently in fourth position with 138 points. He secured a victory at the British Grand Prix earlier this season.
George Russell, representing Mercedes, holds third place in the standings with 160 points. His teammate, Kimi Antonelli, leads the championship with 219 points, having won seven races this season.
Lewis Hamilton, Leclerc’s teammate at Ferrari, is currently second in the standings with 169 points. Hamilton has shown improved performance in his second season with Ferrari, securing his maiden victory for the team at the Spanish Grand Prix.
