Jack Wolff, the eight-year-old son of Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff and F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff, achieved his first karting victory in the X30 U10 category of the IAME Series Italy. The win occurred at the Cremona Circuit on July 5, 2026.

Both Toto and Susie Wolff were unable to attend the event, as their professional commitments placed them at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone during the same weekend.

Following his son’s success, Toto Wolff commented on the challenges of parenting, stating, ‘Sometimes we get it wrong,’ acknowledging the missed milestone.

This victory marks a significant step in Jack Wolff’s inaugural season of karting. He competed with the KR Motorsport team.

Earlier this season, Jack Wolff also secured a podium finish, taking second place in the Mini U10 category at the second round of the WSK Euro Series in Lonato on April 15, 2026.

During that event in Lonato, both Toto Wolff and Mercedes driver George Russell were present to support Jack. Russell had previously joined the Wolffs to watch Jack race during an F1 break in April.

Jack Wolff has publicly named Fernando Alonso as his favourite Formula 1 driver, a choice that Toto Wolff noted with a smile.

His development in karting has also incorporated modern training methods. Toto Wolff previously mentioned in January 2025 that Jack utilises a kart simulator at home to learn track layouts and race against other drivers online.

In the current 2026 Formula 1 season, Mercedes leads both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ championships. Andrea Kimi Antonelli holds a 25-point advantage over teammate George Russell in the drivers’ standings.
